How do I get help answering NMLS MLO Education and Testing Questions?

The NMLS has discontinued supporting MLO education and testing calls. AAA Mortgage Training has NMLS education and Testing experts standing by to walk you through your NMLS records and provide MLO education and Testing solutions and directions!

What is NMLS Credit Banking?

The NMLS requires all completed hours to be "banked" with the NMLS, think of it as a course completion recording fee. AAA Mortgage Training, as your preferred NMLS-approved course provider, will transmit your completion record to the NMLS within seven days often the same or next day after you have finished your coursework and your session has ended. The NMLS charges $1.50 per credit hour to bank your credit hours.

Why do I need NMLS Credit Banking?

If you are or working to become a state licensed MLO, your course must be recorded to gain license approval or renewal. If you want your course completion recorded on your NMLS record so a regulator can view the record and approve your license application or renewal, only courses recorded on the NMLS have been verified as NMLS approved providers delivering an NMLS approved course delivered and taken by the licensee according to NMLS rules. If you do not require any state or other regulator now or in the future to view course completions as an official NMLS record then one may be able to opt out of NMLS credit banking. Most often IF that was ever the case, the course would be company mandated training for general compliance reasons or possibly a MLO working at a depository if the Depository elected not to have the course recorded on your NMLS record.
