FL MLO Continuing Education Requirements
Update: Beginning in 2017, for license renewals submitted for the 2018 license year, Florida will require 1 hour FL state law specific training.
If you are already a licensed MLO in the state of Florida you don’t need to take PE (unless you have been instructed by the NMLS to do so). You do need to complete at least 8 Hours of NMLS approved continuing education every year following the completion of your PE requirements.
Our 8 Hour SAFE course satisfies these requirements. Click here if you need to complete your continuing education and select the 8 hour course that meets your needs. Remember, you can’t repeat the same course two years in a row! If you can’t recall which course you took last year, give us a call, or shoot us an email!

The Florida Office of Financial Regulation (FL-OFR) has informed the NMLS that it will adopt the Uniform State Test (UST) on January 1, 2017. As part of the adoption of the UST, individuals seeking licensure with FL-OFR will no longer be required to take the Florida State Component of the MLO SAFE Test. However, on and after January 1, 2017, individuals seeking licensure with FL-OFR are required to complete two (2) hours of FL-OFR specific PE prior to licensure by the agency, and MLOs seeking to maintain an MLO license with FL-OFR are required to complete one hour of Florida state-specific CE as a condition for license renewal.
